Sergeant George Charles Brown (Service No:3282) enlisted in the AIF on 26 July 1919 and embarked from Fremantle WA on 2 November 1915 with 11th Infantry Battalion on board HMAT A38 Ulysses. Sergeant Brown served in France with 11th Infantry Battalion and embarked on 19 April 1919 for the RTA on board HT Marathon. He was Discharged on 10 October 1919.
Born in 1892 in Fremantle WA, George was the second of five children of William Brown (b1861 in Perth, WA) and Charlotte Early (b1869 in Hampshire, England) - Charlotte immigrated in 1886, arriving in Fremantle, WA on board the Helena Mena. William (a Signalman) and Charlotte married in 1889 in Fremantle WA where they settled and raised their family.
George worked as a Tailor in Fremantle WA - employment he resumed following his service in WWI. George died in 1931.
