'EMBARKED FOR AUSTRALIA.
Air Mechanic F. T. YARROW, Aust. Flying Corps (late Div. Amn. Park), Brisbane, Queensland (invalided home for six months, previously reported ill).' from The Sun 20 Nov 1915 (nla.gov.au)
'Rowers will be pleased to hear that genial old Fred Yarrow has returned from the Persian Gulf, where he had the misfortune to be hit on the hip with a bursting shell, but is now on the road to recovery. Fred was one of the first Australian Flying Corps, and the first Queensland to join the corps. He wishes to be remembered to all hands, and may be one of the spectators at to-morrow's regatta, where he will be able to relate some of his experiences of his journey to the "Garden of Eden." from Daily Standard 26 Nov 1915 (nla.gov.au)
'Fred Yarrow is back from the Front on sick leave. Fred is identical with F. T. Yarrow, the boat builder. Fred says the Dardanelles is alive with Turks who run when they get in the open.' from Queensland Figaro 11 Dec 1915 (nla.gov.au)
