Served during The Great War, name not inscribed on the Minmi Roll of Honour.
I could not locate a date of death or a place of burial or ashes interred for James, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Private James Carlon, 59th Battalion (Reg No-3285), miner from Minmi, New South Wales or Korumburra, Victoria, born at Lancashire, England about January 1893 to John, possibly from Aberdare Street, Kurri Kurri, N.S.W., miner who died tragically on the 13.9.1939 at the Richmond Main Colliery, N.S.W., age 72, buried at Kurri Kurri General Cemetery, N.S.W., Roman Catholic, Section: 22, Lot: 21, and ? Carlon, from Minmi, New South Wales.
James enlisted on the 3rd July 1916, stated age 23 years 6 months, at Melbourne, Victoria.
Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on board HMAT A7 Medic on the 16th December 1916.
Disembarked Plymouth, England 18.2.1917.
Commenced return to Australia 31.1.1918.
James arrived home on the 13th April 1918, being discharged medically unfit (deafness) on the 28th May 1918.
Not officially commemorated.
Name not inscribed on the Minmi Roll of Honour or any known War Memorial or Roll of Honour in N.S.W.
