Sudden Death At Launceston

Mr. Herbert Erskine Cox, aged 59 years, dropped dead on his way to a private hospital, Launceston, yesterday, Mr. Cox received a bayonet wound during the Great War, and since his return has received constant medical attention. He was sergeant-major of the 47th Battalion, and was on active service nearly four years.

Mr. Cox lived the greater part of his life at Weldborough, but recently moved to Launceston. He married Miss M. A. Latham who, with eight children survives him.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at the Carr Villa cemetery."
