Son of Reginald Vincent and Laura Edith Vincent nee Bray of Swain Avenue, Rose Park, SA. Brother of Francis Joseph Vincent who returned to Australia on 10 August 1919 having served with the 9th Light Horse Regiment. 

Commenced return to Australia on 12 December 1918 aboard HT Nestor disembarking on 1 February 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Adelaide.

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

On 14 December 1935 Gordon married Lily Daisy Allen in the Methodist Church, Condowie, SA.

At the time of death his residential address was given as Blair Athol.
