Son of Alfred William Cooper and Ann Cooper nee Petersham of Wilson Street, Newtown, NSW

Commenced return to Australia on 23 October 1918 aboard HT Durham disembarking on 23 December 1918 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

Post war he was employed at Hawkesbury Agricultural College

In July 1935 Alfred was residing in Sherbrook Road,  Asquith, NSW
