Arrived in Australia aged 26. 
 
His younger brother Private Edward John Edwards, aged 25, Service Number 2811 also fell whilst serving with British forces in Mesoptamia.

He was with the 2nd/4th Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. [16th January 1916.]

They were sons of Edward John and Sarah Ann Edwards, Lower Pengegon, Camborne. They are remembered on the Tuckingmill war  memorial which  stands outside the entrance to the parish church of All Saints, Tuckingmill.
