Driver Harry Leonard Reynolds (Service No:8480) enlisted in the AIF on 1 September 1915, and was attached to 6 Field Artillery Brigade on 22 November 1915 when he embarked with his Unit from Melbourne for Suez on board A59 Botanist. Proceeding from Alexandria for Marseilles on 17 March 1916, Driver Reynolds served with 15th Field Ambulance in France. Private Reynolds was attached to 5th Motor Transport Coy on 12 June 1919 when he embarked from Southampton for Adelaide on board HT Themistocles, and was Discharged on 1 October 1919.

Harry was born in Hindmarsh, South Australia in 1892, youngest of four children of Alfred Reynolds (b1861 in Bowden, South Australia) and Elizabeth James (b1862 in Bowden, South Australia). Alfred and Elizabeth married in 1884 in Bowden, and settled in Hindmarsh where they raised their family and Alfred was a Cabinetmaker.

Harry worked in Adelaide as a Motor Driver before enlisting in the AIF. Following his Discharge, he was a Motor Driver in Adelaide in 1921 when he married his first wife, Edith (Gwen) Maud Davis (b1890 in Woodville, South Australia). Following Gwen's death in 1933, Harry remarried that year to Alice (Della) Cordella Elder (b1905 at Wallaroo Mines, South Australia). Harry and Della lived in Prospect, Hindmarsh and Port Victoria on the Yorke Peninsula, where they raised their family and Harry was a Salesman. Harry died in 1957 and Della in 1999.
