IN MEMORY OF THE DEARLY LOVED SON OF MR. & MRS. SLADE OF DELORAINE
SLADE - In loving memory of our darling son, Private Leonard Roy Slade, who died of wounds in France the 26th May, 1918
What would we give to clasp his hand,
Our loving son to see,
Just to hear his loving voice,
Which means so much to us.
No loved ones stood around him
To bid a fond farewell;
No words of comfort could we give,
To him we loved to sell.
So sadly missed.
-Inserted by his loving father, mother and brother.
