27 Oct 1916: Honoured Military Medal, These men [Churcher, 1920 Claude William Buck, 912 Raymond Benson] on 6th August 1915 in the Lonesome Pine trenches became isolated with an Officer and another in an advanced Turkish trench but although strongly counter attacked they succeeded in shooting and bayoneting a much larger number of Turks and were further able to barricade and hold the trench until supports arrived.
