UNDAUNTED BY WOUNDS
After he was wounded Private C. Tognini, of the 4Sth Battalion, continued to carry out a daring patrol at Pozieres, with great determination and has been awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal. He is now unfit for further fighting, but has been recommended for service in Australia. Private Tognini is the third son of Mr and Mrs J. Tognini, of Footscray, whose youngest son is also at the front. Both lads are natives of Daylesford.
