Son of William Henry Kennon and Frances Eleanor Kennon nee Taylor of 'Cumberland', 69 Bendigo Street, Burnley, Victoria
Awarded Croix de Guerre Medal for work at Passchendaele during October 1917 while working as Signaller he erected a Central Station under heavy shell fire. Despite being seriously wounded he remained on duty until his work was completed after which he was evacuated due to his wounds.
