Son of William and Frances BROOME, Rockhampton, Queensland
Much sympathy has been expressed for Mr. and Mrs. W. Broome, Athelstane Range, Rockhampton, whose son, Private Geoffrey George Broome, has been killed in action in the Dardanelles operations. The deceased was only in his 19th year, and had passed both the junior and senior University examinations credit ably. A few months before he enlisted he accepted an appointment with the Mt. Morgan Gold Mining Company, and was studying to qualify for an electrical engineer when he volunteered for service.
