Son of Walter William Vercoe and Clara Margaret Vercoe of Sutherland Street, Paddington, NSW. Walter returned to Australia on 12 June 1919 having served with the Siege Artillery Brigade

Commenced return to Australia on 13 February 1917 aboard HT Ulysses April 1917

During 1921c Frederick married Marion L. Smith in Paddington, NSW
