Disembarked Alexandria, Egypt, 19 February 1916, and taken on strength, 5th Light Horse Regiment. Taken on strength, 14th Field Artillery Brigade, and posted to 56th Battery, Tel el Kebir, 27 March 1916. Mustered as Driver, 1 May 1916.

Proceeded from Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 19 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, 29 June 1916. Transferred to 25th Field Artillery Brigade, 8 July 1916; to 13th Field Artillery Brigade, 24 January 1917, and posted to 51st Battery.

On leave, 12 September 1917; rejoined unit from leave, 25 September 1917.
