Charles John Wyatt was born at Meredith, Victoria in 1893. He was the son of William and Elizabeth Wyatt.

He was working in Geelong as a carpenter when he enlisted on 12/7/1915.

He was 5ft 7in tall, Fair hair and blue eyes.

Charles left Melbourne on 18/11/1915 and after a time in Egypt he arrived in France on 29/6/1916. He disappeared at Fromelles on 19/7/1916 and is remembered on the VC Corner memorial.

He was my Great Uncle being the brother of my maternal Grandfather.
