Arrived in Australia from Scotland during 1910 aboard Berliw. Swore his Oath of Allegiance on 7 September 1914 in Bellevue, WA.   

Served as Kazinar Volukavitz but correct name is  Kazis (Charles) Walinkevic.

According to his wife he had served in the Royal Australian Navy in Sydney prior to enlisting in the AIF in 1914 but the RAN has no record of his service.

Commenced return to Australia on 25 June 1916 aboard HT Armadale
