Died on this date - 10th June......Ernest Ouvrier was born at Nelson, near Windsor, NSW in 1891. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) under the name of "Thomas Weston" & stated he was a 25 year old Shearer from George Street, South Sydney.

Private "Weston" embarked from Sydney, NSW on 9th April, 1916 & was hospitalised in Egypt on 2nd June, 1916 with a fractured wrist. He was sent to England on 16th June, 1916.

Private "Weston" arrived in France on 6th September, 1916 & joined 30th Battalion at the Front on 26th September, 1916. He was written up for an Offence in December, 1916, absent from Tattoo Roll Call in May 1917 & hospitalised from 13th October, 1917 & rejoined his Unit on 22nd December, 1917.

Private "Weston" was wounded in action on 14th April, 1918 & invalided to England on Hospital Ship with shrapnel wounds to abdomen. He was admitted to Reading War Hospital, Reading, Berkshire, England on 29th April, 1918, with gunshot wounds to abdomen & double pneumonia & was dangerously ill.

Private "Thomas Weston" died on 10th June, 1918 from wounds received in action – Shell wound to abdomen & Septic Pneumonia. He was buried in Reading Cemetery, Berkshire, England in in Plot 72. Those buried here & in other parts of the cemetery that do not have headstones marking their graves are named on the Memorial Screen Wall located near the Cross of Sacrifice.

There are 16 other WW1 AUstralian Soldiers buried in Reading Cemetery - all but one do not have a headstone.
