Captain Edward Yeoland Butler, 12th Battalion, H Company from Perth, WA.

A 39 year old civil servant prior to his enlistment on 17 August 1915 as a Lieutenant. He embarked for overseas duty from Fremantle #OTD in 1914 on board HMAT Medic.

He was promoted to Captain on 20 February 1916 and returned to Australia on 23 July 1919.
