2 Sep 1918: | Honoured Military Medal, Peronne 1-2 / 9 / 1918 3762 Private Bishop was one of a Section of Lewis Gunners who showed great keenness under terrific enemy artillery and M.G. fire. Going forward with his Lewis Gun he assisted greatly in the advance of our line to a stronger position. The advance at one time was held up, but this soldier's gun being brought into action cleared all opposition and allowed the advance to continue.
