The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 94 to 96 & 277. Prior to the war he was a squatter of Calabash Warengo NSW. He enlisted 30th Aug 1915 aged 23 years. He served with the 36th and 33rd Infantry Battalions, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. During his service he was awarded a Military Cross (as an Officer) and a Military Medal (whilst an OR). He survived the war, departing the UK for home 6th Nov 1918.
