Alexander LOBBAN was born at Prospect on 20.11.1894 to Robert Roger LOBBAN (1861-14.03.1943) and Sarah LOBBAN (1863-25.12.1936) 

Alexander LOBBAN enlisted in the AIF on 13.03.1916 and was allocated service no. 5026. Originally with the 12/27 Battalion but transferred to the 32nd battalion. The battalion proceeded to France on 23.06.1916 via England arriving in France 15.10.1916.

He was reported as missing in action in France on 09.12.1916 during the battle of Flers. Confirmed as a POW 08.12.1916. On capture he was treated grenade wounds to the leg and for pains in the abdomen.

Repatriated to England on 10.01.19 Returned to Australia on 27.04.1919 and discharged on 17.08.1919.
