Biography

Vernon Ferguson enlistment date 28 August 1915 with rank of Private, regimental service #3813 in the 12th Reinforcements of the Australian Imperial Force's 12th Battalion.
Embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia for active service abroad on the H.M.A.T. A31 Ajana on 17 December 1915. Returned to Western Australia on 28 February 1919. Vernon received the Military Medal for acts of bravery whilst on active service.
