Harold Ernest ATHORN was born in Cunnamulla, Queensland, Australia, 1898.

His mother was Harriet Emily Wicks who married Edgar Herbert "Ted" Athorn.

Harold had 9 younger siblings.

He married Jemima Barwick 31 May 1940. 

They had a red setter dog called Codger (courtesy Sue King, niece)

He lived most of his life in Cunnamulla, living a short period in Brisbane.

Australian Electoral Rolls have his occupations during his life as butcher, labourer, munitions worker, watchman and a shedhand.
