Samuel George THOMAS was born in Orbost, Victoria in 1899

His parents were George THOMAS & Agnes PATTERSON

He enlisted in Sale, Victoria on 11th June 1917 and embarked from Melbourne  with the 24th Infantry Battalion, 20th reinforcements on 21st November, 1917

He returned to Australia on 10th April, 1919 and was discharged on 31st May, 1919

Samuel died in Bairnsdale, Victoria on 19th April, 1968
