Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Kitcher of Glen Morrison, NSW; brother of Raymond Kitcher, Frank Herbert Kithcer who returned to Australia on 15 November 1918 having served with the 1st Light Horse, Stanley Kitcher who died of wounds 18 October 1917 while serving with the 33rd Battalion and William Henry Kitcher who was killed in action in the Messines on 10 June 1917 while serving with the 15th Battalion
