John Joseph was born in Ireland and presumably moved to Australia to pursue a better life.
Queenstown in Cork Ireland is now known as Cobh. The town was known as Queenstown up until the 1920s.
He was a widower and had lost his wife. His sister is named his next of kin.
John Joseph appears to have spent most of his time in England in the hospital before being discharged from service with a hernia.
