Pte 425 Leslie John Thomas Hart arrived at Gallipoli on 7 September 1915. While the 24th Battalion was on garrision duty at Lone Pine on 24 October 1915, Pte Hart sustained a gunshot wound to his right knee joint. 

He was evacuated to Alexandria, Egypt on 25 October via HS Glenart Castle, where he later died from his wounds on 30 November 1915, aged 19 yrs.
