Arrived in Australia aged 29

Son of Tobias and Mary Garrity Joyce; husband of Jane Joyce of 15 Jackson Street, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland

At the time of enlistment Thomas was living in the Australian Hotel, Cootamundra. Other trade was a Paddler in an ironworks

In the 1901 census when he stayed with his parents in 75 Coatbank Street, Coatbridge, Thomas had 5 brothers and 2 sisters. 

Thomas married Jane McPake on 25th October 1912 in St Patrick's RC Church, Coatbridge.

At that time he was a Puddler in the ironworks industry and she was a Milliner.

He had been staying at 2a Miller Street, Coatbridge at the time of their marriage.

Thomas and his wife Jane had one child, Elizabeth, born in September 1913. Sadly their daughter died 8 weeks later on 5th November 1913 at their home at 15 Jackson Street, Coatbridge.

His brother-in-law Alexander McPake (Jane's brother) served on HMS Russell and was lost at sea off the coast of Malta following an explosion on 27th April 1916.
