Personal Stories
Fought proudly
Harold Victor Waldon was a young man when he joined to fight for his country in WW1. He joined up with his brothers. Harold was unfortunately gassed during his time on the front and was later taken prisoner by the Germans. Harold was a Prisoner of War for 2 years before being repatriated to Australia. Harold returned home, got married and had children. However his service impacted his health for the remainder of his life. Lest we Forget.
