Charles Geary
Born November 1883 in King's Somborne, Hampshire, England. Birth name Wren.
Died April 1951 in Coffs Harbour.
After returning to Australia following WW1 did not return to England. As far as we know he had little or no contact with his wife and daughter following his return.
His few possessions were returned to his sister in England following his death.
Charles and his wife had one daughter. Sadly his UK family lost contact with his wife and daughter after 1930.
Family history does not record the reason for Charles emigration to Australia, and has no real knowledge of his life in Australia - working life, relationships, friendships etc.
A few years ago a member of the family now living in Brisbane was able to visit his grave in Coffs Harbour - the first family member to be by his side since he left England in November 1910 onboard the SS Kaipura. It is known that he arrived in Brisbane in June 1911.
