Next of kin given as a friend Elizabeth Shugg of Glenelg Russell Avenue, Doll's Point, Sydney, NSW. Elizabeth claimed that she was his foster mother which was incorrect and she claimed all monies  and belongings.

Richard worte saying that William and his two brother were orphaned and had been in State Care. Brother of Richard Frederick Rodden who returned to Australia on 24 August 1918 having served with the 35th Battalion and George Wilfred Rodden who returned to Australia on 28 June 1919 havign served with the 6th Battalion

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal. Issued to the brother R.F. Rodden
