Albert Leslie Todd was born in Box Hill, Victoria, his birthdate is unknown. He had sallow skin, brown hair, brown eyes, and his height was 5'3. His father (Robert Todd, which was listed as Todd's next of kin) and mother (Elizabeth Jane Todd), lived at 52 Angas Street, Adelaide. He was not married. He worked as a tailor, and his religion was Methodism. When Todd enlisted to go to into World War 1, he was 23 years old and enlisted at Keswick SA, on the 24th of May 1915. 

Todd was put into the 10th Infantry Battalion Unit when he was 23 years of age. His service number was 2754. He embarked from Adelaide to Port Suez on the 2nd of September, 1915, on the HMAT Anchises. Then he disembarked to Alexandria in Egypt on the 29th of December, 1915.

On the 4th of August 1916, he sprained his ankle and was hospitalised, sent to England for treatment and recovery. He returned to France 25th January 1917. Just one month later, on the 23rd of February, Todd caught Influenza and was hospitalised at various locations until he recovered and returned to the fight on the 25th April. Just a few months later in late September he was wounded in action and after treatment he returned to his unit on the 12th of December 1917.

On the 17/2/1918, Todd went on leave to the UK for two weeks.

After the war ended on the 21/3/1919, Todd returned to Australia from Kildonan Castle (Scotland). He then disembarked in Adelaide on the 4th of May, 1919.

The medals Todd got were the Star Medal, British War Medal, and the Victory Medal. He died on the 14th of January, 1955, where he would have been around 55 years old. He lies at Enfield Memorial Park, South Australia.
