Son of Mrs Alexander Quigley later known as Griffrey of Newton Street, Railway Town Broken Hill, NSW. Brother of James Quigley who returned to Australia on 9 June 1919 having served with the 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance

Commenced return to Australia on 12 February 1917  aboard HT Ulysses  disembarking on 12 April 1917
