Son of Thomas Quinton and Sarah Morris Quinton nee Watkins of Athol Street, Moonee Ponds, Victoria.
Brother of Charles Edward Quinton who died of wounds on 6 May 1917 while serving with the 2nd Field Artillery Brigade. Charles is buried in the Grevillers British Cemetery. Plot III, Row D, Grave 19.
