'MEDALS FOR SOLDIERS.

MILITARY MEDAL.

No. 3817, Sergeant Louis Matheson, 15th Infantry Battalion.— He enlisted at Brisbane on September 20, 1915, and embarked for active service with the 12th Reinforcements of the 15th Infantry Battalion on November 29, 1915. Was reported wounded. Awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty in the field during operations near Zonnebeke on September 26, 1917. Returned to Australia on April 18, 1918, and was discharged as the result of gunshot wounds, on July 3, 1918.' from Daily Standard 22 Jul 1918 (nla.gov.au)
