During the period under review he discharged the duties of his responsible position with energy and ability, and his behaviour under fire has been distinguished by gallantry and disregard of danger and great resource in overcoming difficulties. It was mainly owing to his resolution and ability when in charge of parties taking supplies to the front line that the guns of the battery were never short of ammunition, no matter how difficult were the conditions of transport.' | |
