Son of John Edward and Mary Ellen Turner; husband of Mary Ellen Ormonde (formerly Turner), of Fort William, Queensland.

Old Leake is a village and civil parish in Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 8 miles (13 km) north-east from Boston, and on the A52 road between Leverton and Wrangle at the junction of the B1184 (from Sibsey). John is remembered on the Old Leake churchyard war memorial-St Mary the Virgin Church,
Church Road, Old Leake, Boston,Lincolnshire,PE22 9LB
England.

He is also honoured on the LEAKE ROLL OF HONOUR located on the South wall adjacent to the door of
St Mary the Virgin Church.
