Biography

One of several men from Tanunda to enlist in the AIF together on the same day, he did so on the 23rd of August 1915.

He embarked with reinforcements of the 27th Battalion on 27 October 1915 at Outer Harbourer on HMAT Benalla (A24)

Later transferred to the 10th Battalion 

He died of wounds he received at Polygon Wood during the attack on Menin Road.
