Athel Handley CHAD was born in Tamworth, NSW on 16th December, 1899
His parents were James Munsie CHAD & Clara Adela WHITEMAN
He enlisted in Tamworth on 28th April, 1917 and embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Euripides on 31st October, 1917 with the 4th Infantry Battalion, 25th reinforcementss
Athel was Killed in Action at the Somme, France on 23rd August, 1918 and is buried in the Heath Cemetery
