MR. J. MCAULEY DEAD
Investor and Sportsman
Sir. Jonn McAuley, well-known Perth mining investor, died early yesterday morning at his residence at 130 Beaufort-street. He was 58 years of age. Born in New Zealand, he came to this country over 30 years ago and was a prominent identity on the goldfields. He enlisted with the A.I.F. and saw service abroad. Some time ago he retired from active business, though he was still a familiar figure on the Stock Exchange. He was a keen sports-man and a great follower of the turf.
