"...5772 Private Walter Leslie Peake, 3rd Battalion, of Peakhurst, NSW. A labourer prior to enlisting in February 1916, Pte Peake embarked from Sydney with the 18th Reinforcements on board HMAT Kyarra (A55) on 3 June 1916. On 4 October 1917, Pte Peake was killed in action at Ypres, Belgium. He was 39 years of age." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
