Son of Robert and Margaret SPIDEN, Thinoomba, Queensland
Mr. Robert Spiden of "Wedderburn", Thinoomba, has received the sad intelligence from the Military Authorities that his son, Private Malcolm T Spiden, wh was reported missing since 12th of October last, was killed in action in France on that date. The parents and family have had a very anxious time hoping that perhaps he had been taken prisoner, and though the grim truth now dispels that hope, they have at least the consolation of knowing that he died nobly for his country.
