"...3575 Acting Corporal Charles Roy Wilhelm Landmann, 5th Battalion. A printer from Warrnambool, Vic prior to enlistment, Cpl Landmann embarked with the rank of Private with the 8th Reinforcements, 29th Battalion from Melbourne on HMAT Orsova on 1 August 1916. Later transferring to the 5th Battalion he was promoted to Lance Corporal and returned to Australia on 12 June 1919." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
