Son of Charles Edward Vienet and Elizabeth Georgina Bonney formerly Vienet nee Ryniker of Perth Cottage, Ceres, Geelong, Victoria. 

Brother of Edward Charles Vienet who was discharged in London on 22 June 1917 having served with the 6th Battalion and Gabriel Louis Vient who died of pneumonia on 24 November 1915 and is buried in the Albany Cemetery (Old), WA.

Commenced return to Australia on 31 March 1919 aboard HT Khyber disembarking on 22 May 1919

During 1924c Henry married Gertee May McKissock in Victoria.
