"...Lieutenant Mervyn William Blacklow, 12th Battalion of Bagdad, Tas. An orchardist prior to his enlistment on 23 August 1915, he embarked for service on 24 November 1915 from Melbourne on board RMS Orontes. Blacklow was killed in action on 11 August 1918 age 26, the son of Frederick Henry and Sarah Anne Blacklow of Tasmania, he is buried in 526 Heath Cemetery Harbonnieres in France." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
