Died on this date - 7th February........another very sad day in 1917 - 5 Australian Soldiers died in England....

Private Arthur John Brown was born at Dalby, Queensland & enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 10th February, 1916. He arrived in England for further training with 9th Battalion on 9th January, 1917.

Private Brown was admitted to Fargo Military Hospital, Wiltshire on 1st February, 1917. He died at 8.15 a.m. of Pneumonia on 7th February, 1917.

Durrington Cemetery, Wiltshire contains 141 Australian WW1 Soldiers.
