About Norman
Norman was born in Tenterfield NSW in 1895. Joinrd the 6th Light Horse at age 18. He was a saddler employed in his fathers business, The Saddle and Harness Emporium located in Rouse Street Tenterfield.
He was a fine musician with the bugle being his favourite. His bugle would travel with him on overseas service and be returned to the family after the war by Lieutenant Colonel Michael Bruxner.
Norman was also a keen photographer and would send many photos of the Regiment in Egypt.
Norman was wounded on 3rd December 1917 and died at the 75th Casulty clearing Station on 19th December while waiting transfer to hospital in Cairo.He was buried by the Reverend J H Parsens at the Junction Station Military Cemetery, grave 66 on the 20th December 1917.
His body was later exhumed and re interned in Ramleh War Cemetery, grave B48 on the 16th June 1919.
