Son of Wallace and Alicia WATKINS
Miss Ethel Andrews, daughter of Mrs. C. Andrews, of Edward-street, East Perth, has done what the Huns could not do. She has made capture of Mr. Clifton Watkins, late of the A.I.F., and now part proprietor of the Pyramid Chemical Company. Good luck to the both of the young rascals. Everybody is pleased and prospects are promising.
The marriage between Mr Clifton Watkins, late 4th Divisional Signallers, and Miss Ethel Andrews was celebrated at Wesley Church on January 31 1925, the Rev. W J Grove officiating. The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr H Andrews, looked very charming in her bridl robes with customary orange-blossoms, the two bridesmaids were Miss Myrtle Andrews, sister to the bride, and Miss A Rice, and the train-bearere was Miss Doreen Kenshott. Mr Mew Newgent was best man, and Mr Maggs groomsman. Mr. W Watkins presided at the organ, and a reception at which there were over 100 guests was held at the Equaty Cafe. A number of returned soldiers were among the guests. The honeymoon was spent at Ravenswood.
