James Family
John Rundle of Nirranda was listed as James Father on original enlistment paperwork and also as his next of kin. After initially being part of the 8LH he was moved into a machine gun regiment. He later married Doreen and they had strong connections to the Timboon area.

Doreen A Rundle wife of James address given as Curdievale Roadside delivery , Timboon, 3268, applied for the Gallipoli Medal on behalf of her husband. She gave his regimental number as 638 and his unit as 3 Machine gun squad. The letter is dated 2-8-1967.
A notation on the top of the record says 638 Dvr. James Rundle, 8LH
